ANAHEIM, Calif. Randy Moss Jersey . -- Teemu Selanne followed Paul Kariyas instructions and got dirty to end his 19-game goal drought. Even with help from the Finnish Flash, the Anaheim Ducks still needed a late goal from their top line to hold off the last-place Edmonton Oilers. Dustin Penner scored the tiebreaking goal with 3:17 to play, Ryan Getzlaf extended his points streak to 14 games, and the Pacific Division-leading Ducks beat Edmonton 3-2 on Sunday night for their fifth straight victory. Selanne hadnt scored a goal since Oct. 20, matching the longest gap of his two-decade NHL career, and had no points in his last 16 games. The 43-year-old forward finally picked up his 679th career goal in front of Ilya Bryzgalov on a setup from Mathieu Perreault, adding to the 11th-best total in NHL history. Selanne recently got a text from Kariya, his longtime Anaheim teammate, telling him to get into "the dirty areas" on the ice. "He said, Just go to the net, and good things happen," Selanne said. "Ive been waiting a long time. Obviously, its a big relief. Its a little easier because were winning. Ive had some good chances lately, and it didnt go in. Hopefully, this is going to be a good confidence boost for myself." Jonas Hiller made 23 saves to help the Ducks improve to 13-0-2 at Honda Center. Corey Perrys seven-game goal streak ended, but his linemates connected for the deciding score in the Ducks 15th win in their last 17 meetings with Edmonton. Nick Bonino also scored as the Ducks shook off early rust in their return from three days off to complete a three-game homestand. Anaheim is the only NHL team without a regulation loss at home, extending the second-longest such streak to open a season in the shootout era. "We played a lot more desperate after they tied it up," Penner said. "Our line wasnt very good all game, but sometimes you need those breaks. ... We havent had a lot of home games, so we put a lot of emphasis on them." Penner beat Bryzgalov with a wrist shot from the circle after a setup from Getzlaf, who has scored in each of his last 16 games. The Anaheim captains streak only counts as 14 games because of an injury absence. Sam Gagner scored the tying goal with 9:34 to play for the Oilers, who have lost three straight. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins also scored, and Bryzgalov stopped 31 shots. "I wish I could find something in our game that was deficient, but we played strong," Edmonton coach Dallas Eakins said. "I cant find a whole lot wrong with our game there. I thought, to a man, our guys played excellent. Its a game of mistakes, but I thought our mistakes tonight were honest ones, so its hard to place blame. It was one of those nights where you thought you might at least get a point, if not both." Edmontons Corey Potter got a major and a game misconduct for checking Bonino from behind in the second period, sending the Anaheim centre face-first into the boards. Bonino wasnt hurt, and the Ducks did nothing with the ensuing five-minute power play. Selannes goal put Anaheim in control until Gagner took advantage of a mix-up near the Ducks blue line and broke past rookie defenceman Hampus Lindholm, beating Hiller with a wobbly backhand for just his fourth goal of the season. "I thought we were in a good spot (after that goal) because we were playing well, but weve got to figure out a way to close that game out," Gagner said. "Were not happy. I mean, youve got to find a way to at least get it to overtime. We played a solid game." The injury-plagued Ducks finally got some good news before the game, welcoming back defenceman Francois Beauchemin and Perreault. Beauchemin was a plus-15 before missing the last 10 games with an upper-body injury, while Perreault missed four games with a lower-body injury. NOTES: Edmonton RW Ales Hemsky sat out for the first time this season with sore ribs. ... Anaheim fans repeatedly booed Edmonton D Justin Schultz, who refused to sign with the Ducks and ducked out of his connection to them through the draft last year, using a college loophole to become a free agent. ... Anaheim is the only NHL team with three five-game winning streaks this season. Gary Lewis Jersey . -- Louisville backup quarterback Reggie Bonnafon ran for two touchdowns and passed for another and the No. Jim Lee Hunt Jersey . The 41-year-old Northern Irishman has proved a perfect fit at Liverpool since taking over from Kenny Dalglish in the summer of 2012 and steered the team to an unexpected title challenge in the Premier League last season.OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- Theres more to Terrell Suggs game than simply overpowering an offensive lineman and throwing the quarterback to the ground. Suggs is the Baltimore Ravens career leader with 91 1/2 sacks and ranks fourth in the NFL this season with seven (in only five games). With another one Sunday against the Green Bay Packers, the man known to his teammates as "Sizzle" will set a franchise record with at least one sack in six straight games. Versatility, however, is why Suggs is among the most feared linebackers in the game. Hes tough against the run, tackles hard enough to jar the ball loose and is adept at dropping into pass coverage. "Hes one of the premier guys in the league at his position, and he proves it every year," Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers said Wednesday. "Hes a guy youve got to account for in the run game, youve got to account for in the passing game. Youve got to make sure you dont let him get off, but thats obviously easier said than done. Hes had a great start to the season." Two weeks ago, Suggs had a career-high 17 tackles against Buffalo. In last Sundays 26-23 win at Miami, Suggs registered five tackles and helped limit the Dolphins to 22 yards rushing. "Hes a beast in the run game," Ravens lineman Marcus Spears said. "I told him last week, Man, you play the run like youre 300 pounds. With four tackles against the Packers (2-2), Suggs -- now in his 11th season -- will become the second-leading tackler in Ravens history with 722. Only Ray Lewis has more. "I dont want to just be known as a pass rusher. I want to be known as a defender that can do more than just one thing," Suggs said. "I definitely take pride in that. I dont want to just have a lot of sacks. I like to fill up the stat sheet." Suggs, who turns 31 on Friday, is a five-time Pro Bowl star who has spent his entire career in Baltimore. He is known most for his sack-happy ways, but hes also picked off seven passes and owns the franchise record for forced fumbles (29). "A lot of people just see the sacks and dont see the rest of it,"t; Ravens defensive lineman Arthur Jones said. Jim Nance Jersey. "Hes a playmaker all over the field, and one of the best to ever do it." Ravens defensive co-ordinator Dean Pees said, "We could drop him more if we wanted to, but we dont want to. Still, he is a complete outside backer and I think absolutely, he can do it all. Hes got all the necessary skills and hes playing at a very high level." Suggs missed the first six games of the 2012 season while recovering from a torn Achilles tendon and finished with only two sacks. Hes more than tripled that total already this season and is on pace to break Peter Boulwares single-season team record of 15. Suggs acknowledged Wednesday that there was a point last year when he wondered if he would ever regain the burst that put the fear in opposing quarterbacks hearts. "Definitely. But youve got to stay the course and continue to work at it," he said. Now Suggs is arguably as good as hes ever been. "Yes, without a doubt," Pees said. "He looks like hes fully recovered and playing at a high level and really just doing a great job both on and off the field." Not only does Suggs rank second on the team in tackles, hes also taken on a leadership role in the locker room and on the field. "Hes an extraordinary pro," said Spears, who played eight years in Dallas before joining Baltimore (3-2) this season. "Being close to him, you realize how smart he is. Thats something you wouldnt know playing against him. Its a smart football player, and its not a coincidence that hes been playing well for a long time, because his brain matches up with his body. Hes a lethal guy out there." Mostly to quarterbacks, but there arent too many running backs who relish a collision with the 6-foot-3, 260-pound Suggs. "Hes a complete player. He always has been," coach John Harbaugh said. "Thats the great thing about Terrell Suggs. Hes not just a one-dimensional guy, in terms of pass rush. Hes a great pass rusher but hes all the other things, too. Thats what makes him a premier player." ' ' '
