I think it’s time to buy into the Bears, who are still a MUT 24 Coins year away from real Super Bowl contention. The Lions might be lifeless right now, but Chicago went on the road to a division rival with a backup QB on a short week and won. That’s huge. Washington couldn’t do it.
Yesterday, Chase Daniel showed why he routinely gets paid big money to be a backup. He was 27-37 for 230 yards and two touchdowns. That game showed that Matt Nagy is a legit coach. Not that he wasn’t beforehand, but the Bears offense was able to be efficient under those circumstances. They didn’t have much of a run game and still had guys open all day.
Nagy made some subtle adjustments in the game that I think were important and easily overlooked. In the first half, they attempted a few deeper passes, but Chase was just a bit off. That’s not surprising considering he’s barely worked with these wide receivers in practice at full speed. In the second half, those went away. Shorter throws and easier completions. Good adjustments.
The Bears defense entered the game as the number one defense in the Madden NFL 24 because they can do it all. They have 34 sacks, and are only allowing 3.6 yards per carry, tied with the Saints for Buy Madden 24 Coins best in the Madden NFL 24. What takes their defense from good to great are the turnovers. They have forced 29 turnovers including 20 interceptions with scores on six of those.
