The passing, running, along with defensive work is as clean as fast as it was last year, but this improvement has attracted in stick shooting alongside the usual button play, in addition to changing the way the shooting meter both works and looks.
With this shift includes a new dribbling system, which definitely provides increased control and feels more fluid. However, if you've tried shooting in the demo or on the launch day of NBA 2K21, you will know they've massively overcooked the problem. Dame Lillard was overlooking open jump shots when the goal was yellowish; in 2K's aiming method, yellow means'very close but not perfect. It's been patched since then, and shooting is far more natural. The rod still requires getting used to, but the punishment for obtaining yellows isn't too severe unless you're boxed out, maybe not in a hot zone, or employing a player with poor shooting stats.
The matches themselves, filled with sponsorships from Gatorade, Mobil, and a lot more, can sometimes lean too much towards a presentation of a live game on TV than actual play, but as soon as you've got the stone in your hands, that fades away.
Server Stability in The City and MyTeam
It seems this is like a broken record with NBA 2K games, particularly in the first few months after launch.
That said, some of the instances in which users are seeing these problems are unacceptable. The limit on the number of people who can make it into the City is a difficult pill to swallow. I've heard and been told 2K is working on a fix for this particular problem, and I would assume it'd be on Cheap 2K21 MT very top of the list of priorities.
