I've been engaging with this Artisan event without spending a dime and that I rather like it. So long as the choice is there to complete everything without dropping cash, I really don't see why it ought to be shunned. It provides some wonderful short-term goals to work towards with an adequate reward. It's essentially like a fresh twist on the Yak Track, which I think is generally well-liked however somewhat over-played.
You're under a delusion. Yak trak is merely one more kind of monetisation ontop of what is in the sport already. That is why it ties to the match, they saw battlepasses do well and knew it'd be a fantastic way to sell gold premier. More MTX content will cause a mass unsubbing of gamers who don't actively fork out money for MTX content.
