This is more OSRS gold personal opinion, but that I also somewhat disagree with the tagging of these events as rigorously"MTX events". I've been engaging with this Artisan event without spending a dime and that I rather like it. So long as the choice is there to complete everything without dropping cash, I really don't see why it ought to be shunned. It provides some wonderful short-term goals to work towards with an adequate reward. It's essentially like a fresh twist on the Yak Track, which I think is generally well-liked however somewhat over-played.
You're under a delusion. Yak trak is merely one more kind of monetisation ontop of what is in the sport already. That is why it ties to the match, they saw battlepasses do well and knew it'd be a fantastic way to sell gold premier. More MTX content will cause a mass unsubbing of gamers who don't actively fork out money for MTX content. It has to be MTX content + normal content published at precisely the exact same speed and as it stands there is certainly going to go worse if we all get are far less normal updates. Pretty much many players watched last year as a dud, in all reality desperate steps should have been published with anachronia. Jagex is either poorly managing their staff or does not have enough to appeal to ordinary subscribers.
It is still an MTX event though. It's intentionally designed to get you to spend money directly on it. It is fine as articles, sure, but when the actual, fantastic content is being postponed, it stings. It's also kind of empty content in general. They just added some items you can craft that mostly are feeble, and its an addition to additional material.
OSRS takes less to develop
Can we go back to it being an indie dimension studio? I mean we all still hand over our money every month. Why would they change their methods? How would you know whether an MTX voucher was postponed? A number of them aren't declared in advance. Well we get one every week and that is how it's been for quite a while. They have not missed a week has been what I supposed. They have not missed a week since the promotions take next to no work? I despise mtx, but are you seriously trying to compare the minuscule amount of work needed for a TH promo to this needed for something such as quests, new locations, reworks and bosses?
No I am not trying to directly compare the period investments of these. Remember when we had been advised gwd3 could come summer 2020, then buy RuneScape gold summer 2020 comes along with jagex is like"oh we have only began development on gwd3" that's a problem.
