At the start of your RuneCrafting leveling journey, you need to OSRS gold finish Rune Mysteries quest that's required in order to begin crafting runes. This way you bypass painful early process of performing atmosphere, water and brain runes. Additionally, if you have 46 Magic, 5 Structure and The Grand Tree completed you can perform The Eyes of Glouphrie pursuit that will take you all the way to level 23 (if Input the Abyss is finished as well). If you do not want to perform quests you will craft Air Runes.
If you have not completed The Eyes of Glouphrie quest at level 9 you'll be crafting Earth Runes that are quickest at this level. Earth Altar can be found north-east of Varrock, before the Lumberyard. To reach level 14 you will need to make approximately 8 trips. If you would like to make those faster you can use Varrock teleports and Lumberyard teleports though it will cost you a bit more.
After you get to level 14, you wish to take your rune/pure essences and operate into the Fire Altar that's located just north of the Duel Arena. Due to that, you wish to purchase Ring of Duelling which gives you quick teleport to the Duel Arena. After you run from this place to the Altar and produce your runes you'll be able to teleport to Castle Wars with the same ring. From the reception space, you'll come across a chest where you can bank everything you made and take clean essences to your next excursion. Craft Fire Runes for about 20 excursions and you will hit level 23. In addition to making excursions more efficient players can utilize Magic Imbue spell (82 Magic + Lunar Diplomacy) which enables crafting Lava runes with no talisman. It's also worth noting that the two biggest Rune Pouches needs to be taken as the time necessary to empty them is not worthwhile for lower ones.
To start crafting those use Ring of Duelling and buy RS gold teleport into Castle Wars. Go to the chest nearby and draw Pure Essence. Fill up both of your Rune components and open bank to draw more Pure Essences to fill free slots in the stock. If you can - cast your magic to imbue spell. Use earth rune on the altar to craft Lava runes. Empty your pouches. Teleport back to the Duel stadium. You can repeat this process for as long as you enjoy - this method is possible between 23 99 since it gives very good experience in RC in any way levels.
