Yep, and I have been saying that all along. I'm playing wow gold and appreciating it, so I am not a Retail fan saying WOW Classic stinks and Retail is amazing. I have played Retail in a few expansions. But it was plain as day that so many people kept saying it was, vanilla was easy, and would not be the encounter.
It doesn't take a genius to look videos of guilds murdering Rag, and watching how most raid members actually just stood and pressed on a ability all fight long. No turning, and no mechanics to fret about spam frostbolt. It is also why I roll my eyes because even if they were able to release WOW Classic with literally no modifications of any kind, WOW Classic still will not be exactly the same.
The very first time that it came out, we didn't have a decade and a half value of knowledge about how to optimize it. Just from that the specific same code won't create anything near the experience. Retail has tons of problems, but I don't get the people who believe raiding took ability in vanilla and then got too easy later on.WOW Classic is possibly not vanilla WoW. Tons of things are distinct, despite the headline of"no changes". WOW Classic is a Frankenstein of unique patches and values, with a mess of modern changes Blizz needed to slap on to"fix" items they don't like, again despite"no modifications".
I do not mind that extreme min max culture is something as far as high guilds are involved, I mind the area where the mindset has trickled the playerbase of all. I was in a meh guild onto a meh waiter and ran my own share of PUGs, even with few exceptions it seemed inevitable, like needing to pretend we are somehow speedrunning even when we're not. It takes the pleasure out of WOW Classic, the ratio is just way, way off with Wow Classic players.
It is just as prevalent in unfortunately. Consistently running dungeons with people saying"This is how they get it done in MDI!" While needing understanding they do in MDI. I really doesn't matter how many times you say"No, pulling 6 packs and'just aoe them' doesn't work" They never understand it requires cooldowns to manage all of the harm coming in and moving out. I love that it is a solved match. I understand what I need to do and I understand how to do. Now the fun comes in executing the struggles and getting through the content better and quicker. Do I need to gather all of world fans to clear this raid? Hell no, but me having those fans helps us clear faster, and that.
Out of curiosity, how hot are fire mages in this stage in WOW Classic? Till we found rolling ignites they had been hardly utilized in Vanilla. So everyone played but then, we were all paranoid. There's a fire attack shatter construct for aoe grinding that's super hot but none of our dps mages have swapped to full fire as far as I know. There has been a lot of danger to fire at first, especially in AQ. But the DPS was essential in Naxx there seemed to be AoE and crap. But I guess with everyone being smarter and better than 10 years back, they might begin to push on it and make the change to fire.

I am also curious if Blizzard has kept rolling ignites in or should they fixed it as if they did later on. As thought iirc, BWL is not actually bad for fire. There was such a powerful stigma attached to being the dumbass who died so everyone was frost to be safe. But again, if you're min/maxing at 2020, fire can probably be used a lot earlier.
Are they really likely to proceed the Old School Runescape course or are they going to release upgrades as they're right now that follow Vanilla? There a survey recently asked about TBC and how should it happen, by Blizzard. So in the event that you want safe bet, place your money on the choice where they just release TBC (and probably Wotlk later ) next.
