    Combat is quite entertaining, but its a uncohesive experience. Tons of drives, heaps of assignments (most of them useless), narrative is presented as a"all cutscenes of x game" movie on youtube, advertisement then it gets to a place where you simply repeat the same assignments over and over. I understand that its a grindy match, but that component came too quickly for my tastes. Also the monetization is dreadful. Its also much like a mobile game, although I understand that its f2p and they got ta make cash. Multiple currencies, constantly being reminded of just how much better of a time youd have if you paid, etc. I only went back to ffxiv and'm preparing for the autumn expac in fate 2 after seeing that the sub-par pso2 barely provides you any benefits about earning Phantasy Star Online 2 convenient.

    Also I dont understand how hot of an opinion it is but the menu and sub menu. I am ok with f2p doing money but seriously pso2 is really bad in this, first day on PC and you also got prompt for 6 distinct limited time events, what's a lootbox etc.. Game is fun and battle is the best part. As soon as you get beyond the issues of MS store Phantasy Star Online 2 runs perfect (for me at least). Controls are incredibly responsive and k & very controller/m friendly. This could have been the smoothest launches on a MMO, if it was not for the MS shop.A MMO can't be discussed by you without mentioning the monetization. Phantasy Star Online 2 type of falls into the center. The game is playable for free, and I wasn't able to discover any substantial content. The mill to level up and earn loot that is better felt balanced around free-play did I feel like a second class citizen. But, that doesn't mean Phantasy Star Online 2 isn't packed to the gills with ways to invest money.

There are scratcher tickets which are a battle pass full of cosmetics along with loot boxes, and even a store that is standalone decorative. While I'm not a fan of lootboxes, Phantasy Star Online 2 never pushed them into my face outside of a basic tutorial that clarified to earn"FUN" points to the free version (yes, there are multiple themed loot boxes to choose from in Phantasy Star Online 2). The cosmetics from the free ticket had been less intriguing than people stashed away over the premium ones, but that I managed to discount the scratcher tickets entirely once that Client Order was from the way.

    Outside of loading screens Phantasy Star Online 2 does not inundate you with a thousand prompts to shell out money, which is a fantastic thing. Your gift trees can't be reset without paying money, nor can you change your Mag for free (a Tamagotchi of types that offers help in conflict ). As any mistake will cost you, if you intend to never spend a cheap Phantasy Star Online 2 Meseta dime then you'll need to find a construct online for both your class and Mag.
