You are making a huge assumption. This is not a big release for Sega (it is just here in NA because of Microsoft's cash,) and it is revealed from the PR up to now. They were able to bungle coming with publications reporting on it before the PR release was public. The fact we don't have a PC date that is hard is surprising. Folks have a heavily unrealistic view of what Sega views maybe because another firm shouldered the financial load of localization a PSO2 Meseta little revenue stream, which can be happening.
Any MMO launch is a large release by definition. MMOs are the most costly and potentially most rewarding kind of game in the business. They need the most support both technically and in terms of publishing marketing. The simple fact that Sega perspectives it as anything but significant is only evidence of the tactical missteps in regards to PSO2 from the west.I kind of wouldn't be surprised if were true.... I began playing on the very first PC trials. Sega abandoned up their trial servers for many years and we played with a version of the jp game. That was really amazing honestly. This was back in though. I'd believe anything when it comes to NA PSO.
They said Late May, and they've been hyping up that their gonna tell us"REAL" Shortly. So I doubt their gon. Game was out for close to a decade, NA is an afterthought at this point. It releases, if it is delayed the amount which they care the amount that you care when it releases. Now together with the way they're treating us... they essentially have just thrown us a bone and walked away. They could not care tbh. They knew a long time ago it was a match, could do better in Asia-sure, but still workable in the west nonetheless. Simple as that. They have canceled Phantasy Star Online 2 double for the west... 10years later they finally do it. It imo. I really like PSO... but it's pretty clear Sega does not care for us at all.I recommend ya'll try PSO2
I'm a very long time lurker of this subreddit and I wanted to say how much fun I'm having with PSO2 on my Xbox one. I am a veteran WoW Phantasy Star Online 2 participant and FFXIV on event and I play. PSO2 is a brand new game it's been so much pleasure and also a breath of fresh air in this genre and I picked up. If you like Action MMORPGS please give this a go. I believe it is coming out within another week to get PC users but in case you've got an Xbox one you should be able to play it now at no cost.
I was also a big fan of PSU (Phantasy Star Universe) back in the afternoon before Sega turned off the hosts many years ago. I believe I had over 500 + hours crammed into that game and got to level 140 which was level at the time. PSO2 is very similar to it and feels just like a direct update in every manner. Just wanted to buy Phantasy Star Online 2 Meseta provide some hope that there are still good MMO's coming out and I am thankful Sega realizes that there is a western audience for their titles. have you tried PSO2 however and what are your opinions on it?
