By the information found in files of New Horizons, it seems that Redd will soon be working in a similarly suspicious way, arriving to the player's northernmost coast in"Jolly Redd's Treasure Trawler." The information also indicates that its space will probably fill in an upgrade for International Museum Day, presumably with an Animal Crossing Bells art gallery.
The April 23rd upgrade patch contained data for lots of other upcoming events in the game that will be bringing their own familiar faces. Leif the Sloth is returning for"Nature Day," Animal Crossing's own version of Earth Day at which the participant is going to soon be rewarded for planting trees, flowers, and other nature-friendly pursuits. Nintendo has also hinted in a May Day event which will allow the player to see a one-time island where a special visitor awaits them.
A character such as Redd is sure to have a colorful history. He's appeared thus far in every Animal Crossing game, and in every one he's appeared sterile. In Wild World, Redd required a password to go into his tent, and in City Folk, Redd's shop was invite-only and situated in a gloomy alley. In New Leaf,"Cousin Redd" would offer the participant a choice of four real-world art pieces, but only one item was genuine. It was up to the buyer to distinguish the changes.
Previous examples of the forgeries include raising the size of Mount Fuji at The Great Wave and reversing the position of the hands of the Mona Lisa on. Could it be that this fox was hounded by authorities into his art that is bootleg from waters? It is difficult to say for certain, but be warned -- no refunds!
