Kudos to EA for providing us with the ability to shoot with a FUT 23 Coins new command which, in particular, includes manual aiming. It's also a good thing you can turn off the noisy zoom-in feature that is activated after the shooting power has been triggered. Overall, it's an excellent feature to shoot with.
Set pieces have long become outdated in FIFA over the years. Although free kicks are too rare for my liking, when you do get one they are much more exciting. Additionally, penalties have been simplified to make it easier. Also, corners have not duplicated the same mechanism as set pieces but also have a nice new camera view.
The set pieces have not only improved in terms of mechanics but they've also improved visually. When combined with strong players as well as those who excel in the air becoming popular again, it's wonderful to witness EA improve the quality of this area that is crucial to the gameplay.
One feature I am most interested in experiencing on my own was the new Physics system. With HyperMotion 2 being touted as a way to introduce more realistic physics in this game, I was eager to see if the changes had an actual impact. Well, it's an uncertain outcome on this front. On the one hand, there's the new revamped ball physics on display whenever you switch the play. The ball rotates and spins realistically as you track the ball's flight.
However, the things EA highlighted pre-release such as collision physics and deflections appear and feel similar to the previous year. Although the weight of players has increased for the better however, players continue to collide with one another and create unrealistic collisions, particularly when you consider the tendency to keep your fingers firmly positioned over the button to sprint.
The majority of the new deflections that are produced by an extended foot or leg are visible only on cheapest FIFA 23 Coins replay, and the few replays I've seen and especially the power variety -- will cause some serious injuries. Deflections and 50-50s will always favor the AI, especially as you become accustomed to the new body forms and what they mean regarding acceleration.
