The most recent edition of the game, NBA 2K23, the game made history when it announced J. Cole as the first rapper to grace the cover of NBA 2K with the Dreamer Edition. Although it's definitely a surprise that 2K had a cover of this at such a late stage in the rollout, the trend of the game's gameplay may have suggested that this would happen one day. While that's true, this wasn't even 2K's idea. It came from J. Cole's.
