I mean, yeah your OSRS Gold comment lays out exactly why the communities suggestions, in your view, are inferior to the machine you have in place currently. If anything the view represented by the OP are more in accordance with the'vision' of the subreddit (wanting to include the two RS3 and OSRS (which in itself is silly being they have seperate content, dev teams etc. but like my view guy )) by stating your content has a house here but when its seeing anything in specificity to go elsewhere, similar to how the Reddit FC is/was run.
So rather than tuning ity'all yanked it? Tell me how your staff thinks your system isn't fine in comparison with neighborhood suggestions. Let's have a thought experiment while I have your time.

In respect to our system"working good as is," we are aware that it's not ideal, but there is not always a solution which satisfies issues from all perspectives. Additionally, there are other problems taking up our own time, and we're just volunteers, thus we don't always have the time to dedicate to tackle a number of those smaller problems. My previous comments were meant to explain why the problem stands as it currently does for the specific issues mentioned, maybe not describe why things will not change.
One complication with post filtering is it can not be assumed users will always utilize criteria in a post that will visit a filter as it isn't necessarily the situation. AutoModerator filters based on particular standards, so building an accurate list that's only specific to what you're attempting to catch isn't always possible.
Some users understand the way to deliberately bypass filters, which makes them useless, and when we create a filter overly broad, more articles are filtered than warranted. This creates more frustration for consumers and more work for us while we'd prefer to prevent over-moderating. We may look into attempting to revive a filter for phishing email inquiries, but that's a thing for us to talk in private amongst the mod group. The previous filter was unable to accomplish what was desired at the time, so it was disabled for now. These posts do discuss an obsession with other filters in our subreddit, therefore a number of them are eliminated for different factors.
To explain about the last sentence out of my previous comment, overall, this subreddit is for Runescape's community, and as subreddit mods, we would rather our existence be minimal. We do not wish to be in the spotlight for driving community discussion. While a few other subreddits may have an extremely visible mod existence, that's not something we are considering.
I don't think anybody in any capacity anticipates a plug and play solution nor anticipates anyone in the mod group to break their back for no pay. Filters require maintenance to correctly function, take spam filters for e-mail; that's decades of effort to make sure that the Nigerian prince doesn't make it into your own inbox and hell sometimes it still doesn't work, sometimes my 2FA ends up in spam, but we still don't delete a spam filter. I only wish to clarify that I'm not here grilling you at some presser or some thing simply having a conversation.
I believe this just strengthens not only the argument for getting an Automod notify potential new posters of the'gentleman's agreement', if not formally separating them. You've got a virtual'desire route' going on here where your community has decided to segregate the content, do not you feel you need to hear them? These are all growing pains and nothing else which can not be sorted out with the years, its one thing to say that no one gets the drive or ability to maintain a filter right now but please don't make it outside to be an impossible feat. I also feel like I am in a soviet court house and the bailiff was told to shoot the guy who jaywalked, bro you don't need to delete OSRS or spilled articles in this Buy RS3 Gold just have automod comment on it with information pointing people in the ideal direction.
