A brand new event, The Adventurer's Path, will have participants completing challenges in order to earn more gold dust with enchanted properties, and scrap materials D2R Items. There will be a special portrait frame awarded for completing 16 tasks, and the legendary crest to be awarded for the completion of 20 tasks. The event will run from July 20 through August 30. In addition, the Hungering Moon, Diablo Immortal's first event that is limited in duration, will also be returning between July 29 and 31.
Last but not least A new boss in the raid is set to be added to the Helliquary. Gorgothra the Claimer will join the ranks on August 2. Although Blizzard isn't revealing what Combat Rating players will need to be able to obtain in order to compete against Gorgothra the Claimer as their new boss.
Diablo Immortal, which is completely free to play, has been heavily criticized when it debuted in June because of its many microtransactions and "pay-to-win" legendary gem system, even though it claimed to make the equivalent of $50 million in the first month. Blizzard has yet to address concerns about how the game is monetized.
It's a bit of a surprise that Blizzard President Mike Ybarra instead defending the game's monetization system in an interview. Following a backlash over Diablo Immortal, Blizzard has clarified that , while Diablo IV will have an in-game microtransactions store, it is only for cosmetics and that there is no option to pay real money for in-game power.
