Personally, IMO, if you do not want to get spoiled

  • Oh, and please remove blatant reposts of Animal Crossing Bells top-scoring posts in the sub. I don't care if they claim they watched it on Facebook, it had been just on our front page a week ago (which is probably the way the person on Facebook watched it and posted it), and generally I think there should be a"if you did not make it, avoid posting it" rule.

Some of the common occurrences posts are a issue, that's when they are just that, common. I really do love landmark articles, but I could be irritating to view 5 of the same I only got a blue rose or I just got 5 stars articles. It's a tough call because those are extremely important moments & really fun to share. But I think the milestones should remain because overall, it's an enjoyable way to bond as a community, observing together.

It would be really tough to enforce the spoilers rules. Even with out hacking, a person in say, New Zealand, might have the new update nearly a complete day before I get it on the west coast. They could post a picture that is untrue and not a spoiler for these but it might ruin a surprise for me due to the time gap. When does something stop counting as a "spoiler"?

Personally, IMO, if you do not want to get spoiled, tread with caution on the internet. Everyone understands people time travel in AC & it is a long haul game, so the danger of being subjected to Animal Crossing Items For Sale spoilers is high. This risk & responsibility should be on the person browsing, not the responsibility of the poster. That said I really do think a spoiler flair of some sort would be fine, just to have the choice, since it is bothering to be spoiled on some thing, and we are just trying to have fun here. I have a feeling people would get accustomed to the flair eventually and much more folks would start using it!
